Egg Recall Tied To Salmonella Grows To 380 Million
Hundreds of people have been sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to eggs in three states – including California – and possibly more, and health officials on Wednesday dramatically expanded a recall to 380 million eggs, the equivalent of nearly 32 million dozen-egg cartons. No deaths have been reported, but California alone has reported 266 illnesses since June.
